Irene M. Foley of Blakely died Wednesday in the VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center. She is the wife of the late Sid Foley, who died Sept. 5, 2010.
Born March 14, 1919, Irene was the daughter of late Stephen Becaver and Anna Mac Kanos Becaver. Along with her late husband, Irene owned and operated Foley Signs, Blakely, for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Whiteford; and two brothers, Jack Becaver and Joseph Becaver.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home, 129 Grant St., Olyphant. Interment, Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
