WEATHER UPDATE: The services for Mr. McNamara have been moved due to the snowstorm. His calling hours will be on Tuesday evening, January 25th, from 5 until 8 PM at the funeral home. His funeral service is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 26th, at 10 AM at the funeral home.
LOWELL—Brian J. McNamara, 56 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, January 18th, at his home. He was the husband of Judith C. (Gandy) McNamara, who survives him.
He was born in Lowell, on August 28, 1948, a son of the late William F. and Eleanor F. (Conboy) McNamara, and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1966. He received his Associates Degree in Business from Newbury Junior College.
Mr. McNamara served in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1970. He had been employed for over 28 years as a Library Technician by the MITRE Corporation, in Bedford.
Surviving him are a daughter: Cheryl McNamara, of Lowell; a son: Jeffrey McNamara, of Lowell; a sister: Linda Ann Martin, and her husband Tom, of North Chelmsford; two brothers: William F. McNamara, of Lowell; and Barry McNamara, and Diane, of Mantua, NH; also several nieces and nephews.
