Funeral services for Mary Katherine Arnold, 85, of La Grange will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 25, 2015 at the Brookside Funeral Home Cemetery in Houston. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
Mary was born August 22, 1929 in Henderson, Kentucky to Claude and Peachie Sutton Eaden. Mary was a nurse for many years at Doctor’s hospital in Houston where she was a devoted caregiver. Mary loved gardening as well as caring for her patients. She married the love of her life, Robert Arnold in 1993. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2008.
Mary is survived by 1 son; Walter Ray Sutton of La Grange, Texas; 3 grandchildren; Walter Ray Sutton Jr. and his wife Nancy of Temecula, Cal. Laura Poppleton, and her husband Sam, of Jupiter, Florida, and Kimberly Sutton of Pasedena, Texas and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 2 children Gary Wayne Sutton and Beverly June Sutton.
