WESTBROOK- Michael David Rego, age 63, passed away on March 17, 2015 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
He was born in Fall River, MA on Oct. 18, 1951, a son of Joseph and Emily (Volgas) Rego.
Most recently, Michael was employed as a taxi driver at 207 Taxi where he considered his coworkers as family. This was a job he truly enjoyed.
Michael will always be remembered for the enjoyment he had for outdoor activities including lobstering, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and grandson.
He is predeceased by his father; and a sister- Bernadette McVey.
Michael is survived by his companion of eight years- Shannon McLaughlin of Buxton; mother- Emily Rego of Brunswick; sister- Barbara Rego of South Portland; brothers- Steven Rego of Swansea, MA, Richard and Ernest Rego both of Kansas; daughter- Kerri Lynn Rego; stepchildren- Naomi and Tasha; grandson- Trevor who he called his "Buddy" and numerous special nephews and nieces he affectionately referred to as his “Mooshkas”.
A celebration of his life will be held this summer in Pine Point.
