John F. Kelliher

TEWKSBURY-John F. Kelliher, Age 80, died suddenly on Jan 19th at Lahey Clinic Hopital in
Burlington.
He was born in Boston, Sept. 8, 1924, the son of the late Maurice and Nora (Griffin)
Kelliher. He was the husband of the late Mary (Riordan) Kelliher, who died in 1979. He moved
to Tewksbury in 1956, where he was a communicant of St. William’s Church. He graduated from
Suffolk University and had a 35 year career with the Internal Revenue Service in the Boston
Region.
Mr. Kelliher received a Purple Heart from the US Army during WWII.
Mr. Kelliher is survived by seven children; Ann E. Tobin of Dracut, Patricia M. McHugh
of Duxbury, Elaine M. Ricci of Waltham, John M. Kelliher of Tyngsboro, James F. Kelliher of
Walpole, Robert J. Kelliher of San Antonio, Texas and Daniel M. Kelliher of Georgetown, MA.
He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren. One sister Margaret Kane of Woburn. Brother of
the late Mary Crossen and Anne Vallely.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 25, at St. Williams Church. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials to the Irish Immigration
