Pennington, Gene Edward, 88, of Louisville passed away Tuesday March 17, 2015 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
Gene was a native of California, MO., a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, a member of Beechland Baptist Church and a member of Valley Masonic Lodge # 511 for over 60 years. He retired as a Certified Master Watchmaker & was the former owner/operator of The Watchworks.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Jane (Jackson) Pennington;
Survivors include his four children, LaVonne Moran (Erick), Deborah Cruikshanks, Gary Pennington & Jeannie Harned (Brad); 9 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren; two step-sisters, Nancy Strickfaden & Dorothy Graham; a step-brother, Chuck Pennington.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Friday & after 10:00 am Saturday.
