Rev. Warren W. Hency, Jr.
June 25, 1925- March 17, 2015

Rev. Warren W. Hency, Jr., 89, of Anderson died March 17, 2015 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after an extended illness.

He was born June 25, 1925 in Vanduser, Missouri to Warren W. and Effie (Burger) Hency. He graduated high school and a year at Vincennes University.

He served in the U.S. Army Medic Corps as a medical technician during WW II from 1943 -1946 where he obtained the rank of Sgt.

He worshiped and fellowshiped at Park Place Church of God where he was a member of Pathways Sunday School Class. He was active in music and pastoral ministry for the Church of God 31 years before retiring in 1991; he was personnel manager of Industrial relations for Presto-Lite from 1948-1980.

He enjoyed carpentry and house remodeling and table games and making "hooey" magic sticks. He was active in Bi-Vocational music Ministry at several Southern Indiana Church of God congregations including Monroe City; Petersburg; Princeton; Vincennes and Washington along with Mt. Carmel, Ill.

He is survived by his wife, E. Maxine (Malone) Hency whom he married June 12, 1947 in Vincennes, IN; son, Rev. Steven (Brenda) Hency of Reedville, VA; daughter, Peggy (Masanobu) Tomita of Laverne, CA; son, Rev. Jeffery (Rosilyn) Hency of Anderson; six grandchildren; Autumn (Hank) Meeker of Anderson; Rebecca (Adam) Hanson of Huntington, IN: Nathanael Hency of Nashville, Tenn.; Charissa (Matthew) Ulrich of Nashville, Tenn.; Jasmine Tomita and Sage Tomita both of Laverne, CA; three great grandchildren: Caleb Hanson and Maitlyn Christman of Huntington and Kenlee Ulrich of Nashville, Tenn.

Preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings

Services will be at noon on Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. David Markle, Rev. Phil Bruzzese and Matthew Ulrich officiating

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Cremation will take place with cremated remains being interred at Fairview Cemetery in Vincennes, IN.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Park Place Church of God Community Center.
