Worcester – Ruben Lugo Medina, 79, of Worcester, died on Monday. March 16th in the UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife, Christine (Gardner) Lugo Medina; 5 sons, Ruben Lugo of Webster, Rafael Lugo, Raul Lugo, Jonathan Gardner and Jose Lugo Gardner all of Worcester; 3 daughters, Evelyn Lassu of Florida, Daisy Santiago and Miriam Lugo both of Worcester; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 24 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Ruben was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of the late Damian and Julia (Medina) Lugo and worked for many years at Kennedy Die Cast in Worcester. He was a man that enjoyed numerous things throughout his lifetime, however, his favorite thing was spending time with his family.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 19th from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a funeral service to be held at 7 PM.
