Ferdinand G. “Freddie” Tufo, 89 of Medford, died Monday March 16 after a brief illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford.
Born in Bronx, NY, he lived in Medford for 17 years and was formerly of New Jersey. He was the son of the late Josephine (DiMaria) and Joseph Tufo. Freddie was a Printer with the former Royal Paper in New York City for 30 years and retired in 1990. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946.
Beloved husband of the late Anna (Mandato) Tufo. Devoted father of Fred Tufo and his wife Joanne of Malden. Loving grandfather of Michael, Joseph and Anthony. Loving great grandfather of Joseph Jace. Brother of Alfred Tufo of Chicago and the late Gloria Davis.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 11AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9:30-11AM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
