METHUEN – Doris C. (Houle) Heafey, 81 passed away peacefully Monday March 16, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving husband, children and family.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Eugene and Evelyn (Larocque) Houle. Doris was a member of the Red Hat Society, the bowling league at Park Lanes in Salem; she enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, going to Foxwoods and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph T. Heafey, Sr. of Methuen, MA. Doris also leaves her children, Robert Laroche and his wife Cindy of Bradford, MA, Ronald Laroche and his wife Peggy of Punta Gorda Isles, FL, Joseph T. Heafey, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Lanark Village, FL, Cheryl Heafey-Carpenetti and husband Michael of Seabrook, NH, Brenda Heafey-Ball and husband Alan of Freemont, NH. Doris also leaves her 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice 360 Merrimack St. Lawrence, MA 01843. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Thursday from 3:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 noon in St. Michael’s Church, North Andover, MA with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
