TEWKSBURY - Mary Etta (Davis) Dailey, age 71, died peacefully on Monday evening, March 16, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of John J. Dailey, with whom she had celebrated a 46th wedding anniversary this past October 5th.
Mary Etta was born in Westbrook, Maine, on December 8, 1943, one of four daughters of the late Paul and Nellie (Robinson) Davis. She was raised in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School. She went on to graduate from the Pierce Secretarial School in Boston.
She worked at CMGI in Wilmington as a data entry specialist until her retirement ten years ago.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, enjoyed flower gardening, and time with her family. She and her family enjoyed seasonal camping at their trailer in Denmark Maine.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Anne Marie Morgan and her husband Tim of Merrimack, NH; two sons, John P. Dailey of Hyannis, and Matthew T. Dailey of Brighton; two beloved granddaughters, Lauren Morgan and Sarah Morgan; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her infant son, James F. Dailey; and three sisters, Pauline Lorfano, Priscilla Waters, and Sylvia MacDonald.
Visiting hours are Friday, March 20, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 20, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in Tewksbury Cemetery.
