Obituary



Marion A. (Gichel) Thomas, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, passed away on Tuesday January 18, 2005, after a lengthy illness, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was 69 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert P. Thomas.

Born September 18, 1935 in Stoughton,MA, she was a daughter of the late Mr. Frank A. and Mrs. Martha (Lincoln) Gichel.

She attended Stoughton Public Schools and Stoughton High School.

She also attended the First United Methodist Church Of Stoughton.

She was employed by the former Corcoran Shoe Company in Stoughton and was a self-employed Home Health Care Aid in the Stoughton area.

She was a very dedicated mother, grandmother and housewife. She loved her family very much.

She is survived by her children: Linda A. Thomas, Joyce M. Maraglia, Al P. Thomas III and James S. Thomas all of Stoughton. She is also survived by her sister Clara M. Jackson of Augusta, Maine and her brothers: Fred A. Gichel of Winthrop, Maine and Robert Frasier of Middleboro, Massachusetts. Other survivors include, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 22, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. The Reverend Dr. Henry K. James, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Of Stoughton, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.

Visiting hours are on Friday January 21, 2005 from 7-9 P.M. only and Flowers are welcome.
