Eileen F. (Roche) McCarthy of Newbury, formerly of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. She was 85 years of age.
Born in Boston, Eileen was the beloved daughter of the late John Edward Roche and Harriet (Sweeney) Roche. Eileen had lived in Stoneham for 42 years. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.
Eileen was a dedicated Store Clerk for Kennedy Clothing for many years. She was also a devoted homemaker. Her family was first and foremost in her life.
Eileen was the beloved wife of 63 years to Joseph A. McCarthy. She was the devoted mother of Dennis McCarthy and his wife Debbie of Golden, Colorado. Eileen was the cherished grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and the dear sister of Bernice Weisse of Newbury formerly of Stoneham, Maureen Mello of Peabody, the late John Roche of Virginia and the late Marion Mitchell of Stoneham. Eileen was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Eileen’s life in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 3-7pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
