Mrs. Flora “Flossie” (Houston) Hambrecht, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of John L. “Lonnie” Hambrecht, passed away at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2015. She was 88 years old.
Born in Medford on January 24, 1927, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Mary (Dean) Houston. Flossie enjoyed cooking for her loving family and was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her beloved husband Lonnie, she is survived by her loving children; John L. and his wife Karen S. Hambrecht of Lynnfield and Deborah J. Hambrecht and her husband Kenneth B. Dowler of Medford, cherished grandchildren; Corey S. and Jessica L. Dowler and Jonathan S. and Julie R. Hambrecht and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held. Donations in Flossie's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
