Obituary

Donald H. Kolifrath, 74 of Bedford NH, went to his eternal rest on March, 11th surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s parish. He graduated from Central Catholic High School, and later attended Lowell Technical College. Donald worked at Malden Mills for 39 years, including 5 years in Bridgton, ME. He later worked for and retired from Teradyne, Inc., Nashua, NH, in 2007.
In his younger years Donald was quite an experienced whitewater kayaker. He loved the outdoors including fishing with his brothers and grandchildren, camping and bicycling. One of his favorite activities was ballroom dancing. He also loved to travel, with Hawaii and the US National Parks being among his favorite destinations.
Although he never had the opportunity to serve his country as a member of the armed services, Donald was a true patriot who loved his country, second only to his family.
Donald was born in Lawrence, MA Aug. 28, 1940. He was the son of late William and Irene (Guilmette) Kolifrath. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Ann (Lacharite), and his loving family. His sons and daughters, Gary and his wife Maryann (Joaquin), Charles and his wife Cindy (Hayes), Paul, Peter and his wife Donna (Daniels), Diane and husband Ronald Bailey, Dawn Kalinowski and husband John. His grandchildren, Lauren Kolifrath; Stephen, Andrew and David Kolifrath; Alex, Maxwell and Annie Kalinowski; Jennifer and Jessica Kolifrath. His brothers and sisters, Robert (Carol), Kenneth (Norma), Russell, William and Dennis (Martha); Sisters: Helen Kolifrath, Francis Beaudry (Richard) and Marie Diamond (Robert)
Donald was also very loved and will be sadly missed by his many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and extended family members.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. The family will hold a private memorial service.
