Dorothy Jane Dynes Kalutkiewicz, 86, of St Marys’ GA, formerly of Plymouth MA., passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on March 12th 2015.
Beloved wife of Joseph S. Kalutkiewicz and mother of Joseph Jr., Robert and twins Peter and Paul.
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Dottie grew up on Rogers Street in “Southie” and graduated from South Boston High School in 1947. Her parents, Mary Margaret McGrath and William “Billy” Dynes, were accomplished vaudeville entertainers.
At age 17, she met the love of her life, Joseph Stanley Kalutkiewicz. They married in 1950, and Dottie joined the Zubel-Kalutkiewicz family. Joe joined the Boston Police Department where he was a Partolman for 30 years. Joe and Dottie moved to Plymouth, Massachusetts after Joe retired. Dottie and Joe loved to spend the Northeast winters in Las Vegas. Married for 62 years, they had a lot of laughs and were inseparable.
After Joe passed away, Dottie moved to sunny St. Mary’s, Georgia in 2013 with her son Robert and his wife Suzanne. She loved magnolias, Spanish moss and blossoming gardenia, and loved to feed the deer and other wildlife daily. Dottie is also survived by seven grandchildren: Daniel, Robert Jr, Krysten, Kyle, Peter Jr, Michael and Katelyn, and four great grandchildren: Liam, Gavin, Sophia Rose, and William.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth on Wednesday March 18th from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. A funeral mass will be celebrated after visiting hours at 12:00 noon at St. Peter’s Church followed by a private burial at Knollwood Cemetery in Canton.
