Obituary

WEBSTER/OXFORD – Phyllis A. (Pokraka) Naramore, 88, of Webster Manor Health Care Center left this earthly life on Saturday, March 7th, 2015 after a wonderful and healthy life.

Born in Webster daughter of Val Pokraka and Stella (Lisiewski) Pokraka she lived in Oxford, MA since 1955.

Her husband David L. Naramore died in 2004 after 48 years of marriage. She leaves daughter Lenore Dragon of Webster, two grandsons, Mark Corriveau of Spencer and Jason Corriveau and his wife Shana of Webster, a brother Donald Pokraka of Millbury, two sisters, Dorothy Cozzens of Webster and Barbara Kupiec of Charlton, many nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends. She was predeceased by grandson Alan Corriveau of Webster.

Phyllis graduated from Bartlett High School in 1943 and the David Hale Fanning School of Nursing.

Mrs. Naramore was employed many years as a nurse by the Hubbard Regional Hospital and later by Dr. Agostino L. Corrado and other physicians.

Assigned the original call sign of WA1WPX by the FCC Phyllis was an amateur radio operator from the Custom House days who brought help and a kind word to many.

A Memorial Mass will be held in the St. Joseph Basilica 53 Whitcomb Street in Webster at a time to be announced. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery in Webster at the convenience of the family.
