Doris R. (Guimont) Dawson, 72, of Medway, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 9, 2015.
Born in New Bedford on March 1, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Leo Guimont and Jeannette (Caron) Jerome.
Doris was a resident of Medway for the past 10 years and formerly resided in Bellingham.
Before her retirement, she worked at Grainger Manufacturing in Franklin for 15 years.
Doris enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne of Maine and Chris of Florida, a daughter Kelly of Florida and several grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Yvette “Sparkie” Bushaw of New Bedford and Gerry Jerome of Blackstone, a brother Robert Guimont of New Bedford and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Richard and George Guimont, Pauline Hultz, Lorraine Queripel and Shirley Monteiro.
Funeral services are private at the request of her family.
