Joseph M. Adinolfi
U.S. Army and Marine Corps Veteran

TEWKSBURY: Joseph Michael Adinolfi, age 77, a resident of Tewksbury for over 40 years, passed away at home, with his family by his side on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of Francesca I. (Bertapelle) Adinolfi, with whom he celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2014.
Born In East Boston on August 22, 1937, he was the son of the late Nicola and Giuseppina (Flammia) Adinolfi.
Mr. Adinolfi was raised in Malden. He attended Malden schools and Northeastern University.
In 1958, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was awarded a total of five Good Conduct Medals. Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Mr. Adinolfi was awarded several Army decorations including the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Upon entering civilian life, he served as the Golf Pro at the Wang Country Club in Groton and at the Thomson Golf Club in North Reading.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Maria G. Adinolfi, Diana Lynn Adinolfi and her husband David Hooker, and Deborah J. Rankin and her husband Stephen; three grandchildren, Stephanie Greenslade, Evan and Olivia Rankin; two sisters, Florence Angelo, and Mary Hallisey and her husband William; two brothers, Thomas Adinolfi and his wife Isabelle, and Albert Adinolfi and his wife Mercine. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Adinolfi was the brother of the late Arthur and Anthony Adinolfi.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 12, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. A prayer service will be held Friday, March 13, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
