WEBSTER – Dorothy A. (Downs) McLachlan, 86, of 28 Elm St., died Tuesday, Jan. 18, at home. Her husband of 60 years, Lawrence G. McLachlan, died in 2001.
She leaves a daughter, Joan F. Bruso, with whom she lived; a son, Laurence J. McLachlan of Webster; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. A son Robert M. McLachlan of Webster, died in 2003.
She was born in Lawrence, the daughter of Clarence and Frances (Dewhurst) Downs.
Mrs. McLachlan worked as a supervisor at Durand Candy Co. in North Grosvenordale, CT, for 30 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Louis Church.
The funeral will be held Sat., Jan. 22, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home.
