Arthur N. Tsetsilas, 92, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in the Haven Health Center, Derry. Mr. Tsetsilas was born in Nashua, NH on November 10, 1912, a son of the late Nickolas and Adrianne (Makris) Tsetsilas. He was a lifelong Derry resident, living for the last three months at Haven Health Center. He was employed as a waiter for Jacob Wirths Restaurant in Boston, MA. During World War II, he worked on various aircraft carriers, destroyers and submarines as a painter.
He is survived by his wife, Esther D. (DeFoor) Tsetsilas of Derry, three sons, George Tsetsilas and his wife Arlene of Derry, Alex Tsetsilas and his wife Kay of Hagarstown, MD, Arthur Tsetsilas of Plymouth, MA, three daughters, Tina Gaumer and her husband Denny of Derry, Marsha Buckley and her husband Tom of Londonderry, NH, Ethel Phillips of Baltimore, MD, 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Kristine Theodore and Nulia Novello, both of Boston, MA, one brother, George Tsetsilas of Stockton Springs, ME, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter Ann Merrill in 2000.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21st at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, in the Spring. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm in the funeral home.
