Obituary

Walter E. “Elly” Allard age 94 of Hampstead, NH, died Saturday at his home in Hampstead, NH.

He was born in Manchester, NH, grew up and was schooled in Salem, NH and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1930, where he was on the Basketball Team and the NH State Championship Football Team in the 1928-29 Season. He was a resident of Hampstead for many years, formerly of Methuen, MA, and Salem, NH.

He was a retired Pipe Fitter and Welder for Process Engineering in Plaistow, NH. He also had worked as a welder for Bethlehem Steel and the US Navy at the Boston Naval Ship Yard in Boston, MA. He was also a 64 year member of the Spicket Lodge # 85 F&AM of Salem, NH.

He is survived by his Wife of 70 years:
Florence (Thwaites) Allard of Hampstead, NH

1 Son: Walter Thomas & his Wife Elizabeth Allard of Haverhill, MA

2 Daughters: Sheila (Allard) Arold Gorham of Hampstead, NH
Karen E. Winn of Brentwood, NH

8 Grandchildren: Walter Thomas Allard II, April E. Roche, Mark Gorham Arold, Melinda Arol Hofmeister, Matthew Arold-Gorham, Eric Winn, Paige E. Winn, and Jason Winn and 11 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 12 PM at Lakeview Cemetery, Kent Farm Road, Hampstead, NH.

There are no calling hours.
