Mary Martins, of Salem, NH, died Monday, January 17, 2005 in the Salemhaven Nursing Home in Salem. Mrs. Martins was born in Fall River, MA on August 18, 1918, a daughter of the late Antone and Julia (Cordeira) Andrade. She was a resident of Salem formerly living in Londonderry, NH and Portsmouth, RI. She had been employed as a winder for the Consolidated Thread Co. in Fall River, MA. She was a member of of the AARP and the Londonderry Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edmond L. Martins of Salem, two sisters, Georgiana Cordeiro, Florence Souza both of Fall River, MA, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 20th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 27 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 - 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
