John S. Trela age 78 of Salem, NH, died Sunday at his home in Salem, NH.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. He later graduated from the Scott Carvee School of Art in Boston, MA. Mr. Trela was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 42 years, formerly of Lawrence, MA.
Mr. Trela was a retired assembler for Hewlett Packard in Andover & Wilmington, MA. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem, NH. He was a US Navy Veteran, serving in World War 2, a member of the VFW Salem, NH Memorial Post 8546, and a member of the NRA. He was a gifted artist with oil paints. He was an avid hunter and liked to travel.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2005 at 10:30 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover, MA.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 20, 2005 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
