Jeannette Houle, 95, formerly of Second Ave. died Thursday March 5, 2015 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the loving wife of the late Paul M. Houle, Sr.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Amanda (Tessier) Senecal. She was a resident of Cumberland and Burrillville for many years before returning to Woonsocket.
Mrs. Houle was employed at the French Worsted Mill and Narragansett Knitting for a number of years before retiring in 1982.
Jeannette was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Parish and a member of the St. Joan of Arc Senior citizens and the FOPA Lodge 24. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and listening to French music.
Jeannette will be remembered for her devotion to her family.
She is survived by three sons Gerard P. Houle and his wife, Pauline, of Ashby, MA, Paul M. Houle, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Lancaster, MA, and Roger P. Houle and his wife, Elise, of Woonsocket. She was the sister of the late Albert Senecal, Violette Frappier and Cecile Bruneau. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Second Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish, 415 Olo St. Woonsocket, RI. 02895.
