Obituary

Adelard “Del” R. Richard, 93, of Dulude Ave, passed away at home Saturday surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Therese (Chretien) Richard. He was born in St. Hubert Riviere de Loup, P.Q. Canada, a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Therriault) Richard. Del was a carpenter for West Construction in Dedham, MA for over twenty five years, retiring in 1982. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a longtime member of the Whitinsville Fish & Game Club. Del was a loveable jokester and one of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with friends and family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son; Normand Richard and his wife Susan of Georgetown, ME, three daughters; Doris Berard and her husband Randy of Woonsocket, Linda Lagasse and her husband Stephen of Woonsocket, and Brenda Richard of Anchorage, AK, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two sisters Cecile Godfroy of Woonsocket, and Yvette Caron of Canada. He was also the father of the late Raymond Richard, and the brother of the late Thomas, Lauriat and Lionel Richard, Yvette Caron, Yvonne Couturier, and Laurette Rioux.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier, Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 4-7PM.
