Donald F. Nelson, 56,passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
He leaves his wife, Mary K. (March) Nelson, his mother, Karen M. (Amyot) Dickens of Palm Beach, Fl., 4 children; Kristin Shea of Coventry, CT., Kaycee L. Krummel and her husband Jason of Colchester, CT., Tyler Duclos of Killingly, CT., and Justin Duclos of Webster, 7 grandchildren; Evin, Alyssa, Aubrey, Miley, Paxton, Ecko, and Cauy, 2 brothers; Jonathan and Kenneth Nelson and a sister, Lisa Nelson and a nephew, Rich Donahue.
Don was born in Worcester son of the late Richard F. Nelson and lived most of his life in Worcester before moving to Charlton recently.
He worked for the Staples Corporation for 20 years in Framingham as Director of Inventory and shortage control.
Don served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal.
He enjoyed woodworking, was a N.E. Patriots fan and the Florida Gators.
Don’s favorite thing was doing things for his grandchildren, who were his Pride and Joy, and he would do anything in the world for his grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Don will be Monday, March 9, 2015 with a Service at 11:30AM in the Charlton Federated Church, 64 Main St., followed by Military Honors. Burial will be at a later date in West Ridge Cemetery .
Calling Hours for Don will be Monday, March 9, 2015 from 9:30AM to 11AM in the ROBERT J. MILLER-CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME , 175 Old Worcester Rd., prior to the service.
