DENNIS/SPENCER: Richard F. Lacroix, 86, of Main Street and formerly of Spencer died Wednesday, March 4 in Epoch Senior Health Care of Brewster after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Shirley T. (Young) Lacroix, two daughters; Kathy J. Gregoire and her husband Robert of North Brookfield and Mary Ann Cournoyer and her husband David of South Dennis, a sister Geraldine Simonovitch and her husband Peter of Spencer, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Anne Jones.
Mr. Lacroix was born in Spencer, son of Edward J. and Mildred E. (Meloche) Lacroix. He worked in inventory control at Norton Co. in Worcester for 21 years retiring in 1990. He graduated from David Prouty High School. He was an honorary member of Knights of Columbus Council #118-Spencer.
A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, March 11 at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, North Brookfield Road, East Brookfield. Burial in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery will take place in the Spring. There are no calling hours. J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements.
