Obituary

George L. Durette, 96, of Manchester died March 4th 2015 after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester, NH, the son of Francois X. and Malvina (Fouquette) Durette, and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He served in the Air Force during World War II and was attached to the Photo Intelligence Dept. Mr. Durette was a certified legal and aerial photographer until his retirement. He was also a member of the American Legion, the C.W.V. and the D.A.V.
He was predeceased by his wife, Claire H. (Sweeney) Durette of 53 years, and 4 brothers, Raymond, Laurier, Rev. Constant Durette, WFA (White Fathers of Africa), and Lucien,and 2 sisters, Sr. Antoinette Durette, PMA, (Presentation of Mary) and Therese Croteau of Canada.
He is survived by his 5 children, Raymond Durette and his wife Francine, Jacqueline Kling and her husband Bruce, Jeannine Flachbart and her husband Tom, Joseph Durette, and Constance Brigham and her husband David; 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was a devoted husband and loving father and will be forever missed.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
