Obituary

Reverend Mark S. Dolac, 52, of Manchester passed on March 3, 2015 at the Catholic Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ on December 20, 1962, he was the son of Stephen M. and Theresa (Vermin) Dolac. He was inducted into the National Honor Society chapter at Inter-Lakes High School and earned his Certificate of Ordination in “Gospel Ministry” from Calvary Grace Church of Faith in Pennsylvania. During high school, he spent his summers as a licensed life guard and saved many lives. He was an expert swimmer. After college, he worked as a school teacher with inner city kids in the New York City/New Jersey area with the hope that he could help educate and change futures through compassion and good education. He then worked for Easter Seals in Manchester for many years with disabled individuals who he cared about very much. He has gone above and beyond his job description to find his clients safe homes to live in and find good providers and care takers to watch over them. After Easter Seals, he became the director of housing for the disabled at Region 10, where he had hoped he could do more good for the disabled in New Hampshire.
Prior to his illness, Reverend Mark Dolac had been a Traveling Evangelist and established an Abundant Life Ministry with Lucille Porter and Eric Smith. During this time period he touched so many lives in a selfless manner. He had also served as activities director/volunteer coordinator for the Gibson Center for Senior Services in North Conway. Most recently, he had attended Shiloh Community Church in Manchester.
His first love and priority is and always was serving God by serving others. Whether he was preaching God’s love or passing out food or just talking to the man on the street, he did it with Christ’s love and compassion. He always spoke about the importance of accepting Jesus Christ into one’s life.
Reverend Mark Dolac had a beautiful Lutino Cockatiel that he had as a chick and they spent all their time together. This little bird would call him poppie and helped him recover from his strokes while protecting and keeping him company every day. They became inseparable and very quickly Baby Boy became a family member.
Family members include his son Rogue Lee Dolac of Manchester; sister, Diane Mason, sister, Lucille Porter; niece, Lauren Mason. So many people would call him brother, dad, best friend, Pastor, teacher, son, The Rev, and Man of God. He was many things to many people. He welcomed all people into his ever growing family. In our family home, he offered anyone in need of shelter, food and God’s unconditional love. Many battered women and families, homeless, depressed and overwhelmed with life found refuge in our home on their journey through this life.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shiloh Community Church, 55 Edmond St, Manchester, NH 03102.
