Elizabeth Lee Rhoades
Augusta, GA - Mrs. Elizabeth Lee Rhoades, 73, passed away on February 25, 2015 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. She was born on February 2, 1942 to Wilva Lee and Frederick Gerhard Hafers. Elizabeth grew up in Fruit Cove, FL and studied English at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She and Robert Rhoades married in 1962 in Jacksonville, FL. Elizabeth was a loving mother, generous care giver, and impeccable home maker.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Robert and their children Beth, Lara, and Michael; brother Raymond; nieces Helen, Rachel, and Jessica; brother Frederick; and grandchildren James and Savannah. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her cherished mother Wilva, father Frederick, brother Cecil, and stepfather Oliver.
A funeral service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3131 Walton Way at 3:00 pm Saturday March 7.
Family members will be greeting friends and relatives after the service at the family home on Walton Way. Elizabeth will be dearly missed.
