Charles E. Vaughn, 71, of Riverdale, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at held 2 PM, Friday, January 14, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Vaughn was born July 22, 1933, in Pulaski County, Georgia, to the late James Horace and Clifford Eudora Mays Vaughn. He served in the United States Army and moved to Riverdale in 1962 from Fitzgerald. Mr. Vaughn was a retired truck driver, having worked for Harper Motor Lines, Georgia-Florida-Alabama Transportation and RCA Truck Lines. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Atlanta. Mr. Vaughn was a Master Mason and a member of Riverdale Lodge # 709 F.&A.M. and a member of the local 728 Teamsters Union.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by his wife: Betty Biggers Vaughn, Riverdale; two sons: Andy Vaughn, Fayetteville, GA and Allen Vaughn, Griffin, GA; one daughter: Jeanna Stevens, McDonough, GA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
