New Bedford – Robert W. Price, 82, of New Bedford died after a brief illness at St. Luke’s Hospital on January 10, 2005. He was the husband of Hilda E. (Lopes) Price.
He was born in Providence, RI, son of the late Wilfred J. and Mary E. (Lonagon) Price, and resided in Little Compton, RI most of his life, living the past 16 years in New Bedford. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of WW II. He was employed as an agent for the Rhode Island Lottery until his retirement. He enjoyed boating, fishing and golfing.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by 2 sons: Michael S. Monte of Cape Coral, FL and Randall L. Monte of Marstons Mills, MA; 3 grandchildren: Evan M. Monte of Marstons Mills, Christopher Monte of Newport, RI and Michael S. Monte, Jr. of Florida; 2 great-grandchildren; and his beloved nephew: Kenneth J. Monteiro of Dartmouth.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
