Obituary

OXFORD-Julia A. Needham, 72, of 14 Old Howarth Road formerly of 11 Pattison Street, died Tuesday, January 11th in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves a brother, John P. and his wife Mary Needham of Worcester, 2 sisters, Ann E. Coleman of Worcester and Mary P. wife of William Hoey of Marshfield, 20 nephews and nieces, and 30 great nephews and nieces. A brother, Monsignor Thomas J. Needham died in 2002.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Thomas J. and C. Agnes (O’Malley) Needham. Ms. Needham was a graduate of Ascension High School, and had been employed by Wyman-Gordon for 39 years as an executive secretary in the sales department in Worcester and in Grafton, she retired in 1991. She was an avid Red Sox fan.

The funeral is Friday, January 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, January 13th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Society for the Propagation of Faith, c/o The Chancery, 49 Elm Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
