Obituary

Blanche M. Aubin, 86, of Rhodes Ave, previously of Woonsocket, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 27, 2015 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the devoted wife of the loving late Raymond E. Aubin. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Tellier) Smith. She resided at Saint Antoine Residence for the past five years.

Blanche had been a wire stripper for Miller Electric for many years. In retirement, she became a very dedicated volunteer in the East Woonsocket Girl Scouts, St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens and the AARP Woonsocket Chapter 4272 where she received a Recognition Award for her services. Blanche was very active in the St. Antoine’s community where she participated in and assisted with activities. Blanche and Ray loved to fish and dance together. She also enjoyed bingo, listening to country music and making her jigsaw puzzles.

She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends, remaining always in their hearts.

She was survived by her two daughters, Joann Cournoyer and her husband Paul of North Kingstown and Doreen Monfette of Woonsocket, two grandchildren, Derek Cournoyer of FL and Cassondra Kumnick and her husband Jason of Uxbridge, one great-granddaughter, Madison Kumnick, and her siblings Emile Smith, Alice St.Pierre and Barbara Parenteau. She was pre-deceased by her sister Beatrice Vinciguerra, and her brothers Edward, John, Robert, Harold, Francis and Stanley Smith.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 6th at 11:00AM in the St. Antoine Chapel. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St Antoine Community, 10 Rhodes Avenue, North Smithfield, RI 02896. Arrangements are under the direction of Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket.
