Worcester - Theresa Lavoie, 89, formerly of First Street, Worcester died Monday, March 2nd in Brookside Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Her husband, Robert F. Lavoie, Sr. died in 1984. She leaves a son, Robert F. Lavoie, Jr. and his wife, Lenore of Hampton, VA; a daughter, Carol Nockunas of Westbrook, CT; a brother, George Daw of Southbridge; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Bruce P. Lavoie; two brothers, Robert and Daniel Daw; two sisters, Mary Boudreau and Kathleen Daw.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Peter and Helen (LaVallee) Daw. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Lavoie's fulfillment in life was in the joy of giving always putting others before herself.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Theresa's name to the Mustard Seed (a local soup kitchen), 93 Piedmont Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
