Marie D. (Lemieux) Roy, 81, of Berlin, New Hampshire, passed away on Friday evening February 27, 2015 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She was born in Berlin, NH on August 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Hilaire and Yvonne (Grondin) Lemieux and was a lifelong resident. Marie had worked in the Towel Room for the Brown Company, for sixteen years at Granite State Rubber Co. and was the bookkeeper for the family business Alcide Roy Plumbing & Heating. She enjoyed spending time with and was very close to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting and reading. She was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.
Members of the family include her husband Alcide Roy of Berlin, NH; a daughter Diane Belanger and husband Ed of Stark, NH; two sons David Roy and wife Tami of Berlin, NH and Dennis Roy and wife Donna of Milan, NH; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister Simone Landry of Windham, ME; brother Paul Lemieux of Berlin, NH; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Rita Albelli and Jeannette Richy and brothers Leo Lemiuex and George Lemieux.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 5, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, Berlin, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes.
