Lucille M. (Lanzarotto) Desroches, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 25, 2015 in Florida. She was born on June 23, 1937 in Boston, a daughter of the late Vincent and Angelina (Savoia) Lanzarotto. Lucille was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1955. She retired as a Paraprofessional from the Holyoke school system and was most recently employed as a telemarketer for Roche Associates in Wilbraham. She loved spending time with her family and traveling to Florida to enjoy the beach. She was a member of the Italian Club at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the Alfa course at Holy Cross Church, a local prayer group and was also a member of Cursillo. She is predeceased by her former husband John J. Desroches. She leaves 3 sons, Pastor Jack Desroches and his wife Cathy of Palmer, Pastor Michael Desroches and his wife Anita of Palm Coast, FL and Pastor Jeffrey Desroches and his wife Cheryl of Chicopee; 1 brother Ronald Lanzarotto and his wife Barbara of Chicopee; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Desroches-Robinson and her husband Greg, Nicholas Desroches, Vincenzo Desroches and his wife Camille, Michael and Alicia Desroches and 2 beloved great grandchildren, Abigail and Carter. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Liturgy in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
