Jean E. Wyman, 80, formerly of Derry, NH, passed away February 18, 2015 at the Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Centerville, MA. She was born on February 21, 1934 in Concord, NH, a daughter of the late Austin P. and Cynthia (Rice) Cate. Mrs. Wyman operated the Wyman Studio in Derry Village where she was a private art teacher for over 30 years.
She is survived by her son, John D. Wyman and his wife Valerie of Wilton, CT; her daughter Cynthia J. Wyman of Manchester, NH; six grandchildren: John Austin Wyman and his wife Lindsay, David Wyman and his wife Linsey, Gregory Wyman, Jared Wyman, Bobby Wyman and Cate Wyman; one great grandchild, Ella P. Wyman; and her sister, Joan Peters Manning of Osterville, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Donald H. Wyman in 1975.
There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held sometime in the spring which will be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, NH.
