Fall River – Deolinda (Mello) Nadeau, 91, of Fall River formerly of Westport died Thursday, January 6, 2005 at Catholic Memorial Home after a long illness. She was the widow of Leo Nadeau, Sr.
Mrs. Nadeau was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Bento V. Mello, Sr. and Marianna (Tavares) Mello, and had resided in Westport since 1983. Prior to her retirement she was a housekeeper for Crystal Springs of Swansea. She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. She enjoyed crafts.
She is survived by 3 brothers: Joseph V. Mello of Westport, Bento V. Mello Jr. of Westport and John V. Mello of Westport; 2 sisters: Mary Morel of Fall River and Gertrude Lima of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Leo Nadeau, Jr.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, Monday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 9:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
