HARRINGTON, Maureen Gabrielle Of Norwood and Wellesley went home to the Lord on Wednesday February 25, 2015. Maureen was the beloved daughter of the late James Hazen and M Gladys (Bulger) Harrington of Wellesley. She leaves her siblings Janice Young (Harrington) and her husband the late Vernon Young, Nancy Corcoran (Harrington) and her husband Tom, James Jr. (Terry) and his wife Judy and Patty Joseph (Harrington). Also Maureen leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Christopher Young and his wife Jennie, Patricia Young, Andrew Young and his wife Colleen, Michael Young, Richard Young and his wife Amanda, Amy DiStefano and her husband Jeremy, Susan Corcoran, Jean Corcoran, Laura Casale and her husband Jim, Jay Harrington. Matthew Harrington, Adam Harrington, Timothy Joseph and his wife Melissa, Elizabeth Joseph, Nicholas Joseph and his wife Liz, Patrick Joseph and his wife Karisa. She is also survived by 15 grand nieces and nephews. Matthew, Patrick, Drew, Lauren, Gavin, Quinn, Thomas, James, Ben, Beatrice, Alice, Jack, Owen, Lucy, Morgan. Maureen leaves behind many cousins and beloved friends.
Maureen had a devout passion for family and a strong interest in family history and genealogy. Maureen graduated from Cardinal Cushing College and went on to receiving her masters degree from Boston State Teachers College. Maureen was a teacher for 39 years. She was a teacher for 32 years with the Norwood Public Schools.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., WELLESLEY, Monday, Mar. 2 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting Hours Sunday, Mar. 1 from 4-8pm. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
