SPENCER: Claire M. (Tetreault) 91, of Overlook Dr., died peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester.
Her beloved husband of 64 years, Frank A. "Buddy" Rivers, Jr., died in 2007. She leaves her son, Neil F. Rivers and his wife Susan of Spencer, her daughter Paula S. Rivers and her husband Richard V. Levy of Boxborough, her brother Leo Tetreault and his wife Judy of Oak Hill, Fl., grandchildren; Zachary Rivers and his wife Laura of Bristol, RI., Giselle Rivers of Boston and Gregory Rivers of Houston, Tx., many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Armand Tetreault, four sisters Bella Sylvestri, Theresa White, Lucille McGrath and Celine Manseau.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Adrien J. and Aurore (Lamoureux) Tetreault.
Claire worked for many years as a clerk at the former Spencer Pharmacy. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing cards with the "girls" and her siblings, and most enjoyed dancing with her husband Frank. She was a member of the former St.Mary's Church and its St. Anne's Sodality.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Funeral Mass at 11a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer.. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary, Queen of the Rosary Memorial Fund, 60 Maple St., Spencer, Ma. 01562.
