Obituary

Edgar Yuey-Ngeo Lee, 88, of Wayland, MA, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2015 with his devoted wife, Marina, at his side. Born in Boston on July 27, 1926, he was the son of the late Sun Foo Lee and Chin Shee Lee. Ed was predeceased by brothers Paul Lee, Alfred Lee and his sister, Charlotte Lee. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelors’ Degree in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering then later graduated from the University of Delaware with a Masters’ degree in Computer Engineering. A longstanding member of the FF Fraternity, Ed also served his country for five years during the Korean War. After retiring from Digital Equipment Corporation after a long career in technology and engineering, he continued to learn new things daily. He was a lifelong tinkerer, inventor and curious thinker. His many talents included moviemaking and the design of his own home. His mind remained vivid and technologically savvy always, as evidenced by the constant embrace of his iPhone, even at age 88. He and his wife, Marina (Wei Hai) Shen, enjoyed 30 wonderful years of travel and adventure together, along with their dog, Shogun.

Ed is survived by his wife, Marina, and his four children: Timothy Lee of Framingham, Lauren Lee Lochrie and husband Len Lochrie of Lowell, Terence Lee of Boston and Robin Lee Foley and husband Peter Foley of Harvard. Cherished grandfather of Julia, Charlotte and Caitriona Foley. Also survived by his sister, Lillian Lee Morse, nephews Michael Lee, Jonathan Moy and niece, Stephanie Moy Newberry.
