William Fred Mauldin, Sr., 81, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at his residence.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Mauldin was born March 15, 1933, in Toccoa, Georgia, to the late John Edward & Annie Marie Phillips Mauldin. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in the construction industry in Georgia and Florida. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local Union 1809, in Florida.
He is survived by two sons: William Fred Mauldin, Jr. and his wife Sandra of McDonough and Billy Mauldin of the Philippines; five grandchildren: Brandon Mauldin, Chasity Mauldin, Sammy Mauldin, Mallory Mauldin and Caylee Mauldin; three step-daughters: Pam Martin, Julia McIntyre, and Jeana McIntyre; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary & Charles Taylor of Culloden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Howard Mauldin; two sons: Timothy Paul Mauldin and Ricky Fred Mauldin; a sister, Evelyn Scott and a brother, John Mauldin.
