Charles F. Wing Jr., 79, passed away, February 24th in Stafford Springs, CT. Charlie was born in Springfield, MA to the late Elizabeth (Malley) Mann and Charles F. Wing Sr. He lived in Chicopee for most of his life and in the Enfield community since 1995. He graduated from Chicopee High School. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. Charlie worked at Artioli Auto dealerships for 15 years and previously at Burnside Motors in E. Hartford for 15 years. He also worked as a bartender at the Polish American Veterans (P.A.V) in Chicopee and was very involved in the activities of the Polish American Citizens Club of Ludlow. He loved Polka music and for 25 years he served as a tour guide for Jimmy Sturr and the United Polka Artists. He loved his family and friends and was especially proud of his 3 grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Laurie (Wing) Hogan and her husband Sean of Westfield, 1 son, Timothy J. Wing and his wife Rita of Taipei, Taiwan; 3 grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and Jack Hogan, 1 twin sister Therese Curry of Chicopee; and 2 brothers, Patrick Wing and his wife Gloria of Rockland, MA and David Wing and his wife Jeanne of ME and NH. He also leaves a host of cherished nieces and nephews and other loving relatives. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Mar. 1, 2015 from 3-6 pm at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, Mar. 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Liturgy at 11 a.m. in St Patricks Church in Chicopee.
