James D. Travers, 66, of N Dighton, died at home on Tuesday. Raised in Whittenton, son of the late John & Rosabelle (Nolette) Travers, he leaves wife Susan (Deniz) Travers after 42 years. Mr. Travers, a Viet Nam Navy veteran who enjoyed golfing, kayaking, and camping in NH, was a talented carpenter known to family, friends and neighbors for his ability to build and repair anything.
In addition to Susan, Jim leaves son Jeffrey Travers (& Sarah) of Raynham, daughter Tracy Travers of N Dighton, grandchildren Madelyn & Brayden, both of Raynham, brother Robert Travers, of FL, and sister Carol Stevens, of NH.
A “Celebration of Jim’s Life” will be held Monday March 2 from 5PM to 7PM (Service at 7PM) at the Riendeau - Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton. A private inurnment will occur in the spring.
