Jeannette Lavallee, 94, formerly of Chestnut Hill Rd., Millville died Saturday February 14, 2015 at Our Lady’s Haven in Fairhaven, MA. She was the wife of the late Louis J. Lavallee.
Born in Millville she was a daughter of the late Mederic and Cora (Gagnon) Ethier. She was a lifelong resident of Millville growing up on the family farm.
Jeannette worked as a jewelry setter alongside her niece Denise Ethier at several area jewelry makers.
She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Parish.
She is survived by a son Paul L. Lavallee and his wife, Pauline, of Buzzards Bay, MA., two daughters Muriel Archambault and her husband, Tom, of Woonsocket and Irene Church of Idaho. She was the mother of the late Richard R. Lavallee and sister of the late Romeo, Lionel, Emile, Normand, Alfred, Ernest and Paul Ethier, Gertrude Cournoyer, Roseanna and Rosealma Ethier and Rita Salois. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St. Slatersville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
