Stephen (Stan) Kazanovicz, 85 of Truro, passed away at Liberty Commons in Chatham on February 21, 2015. He was the husband of Lorraine Previe.
After serving with the Air Force and seeing action in Korea, Stan moved to Orleans where he worked as a lifeguard at Nauset Beach and tended bar at the Southward Inn. He became interested in electrical work eventually gaining his master electricians license. Stan was self-employed for many years as well as Wiring Inspector for Truro. With his partner Tom Kane, they worked under the name of Pamet Electric.
Stan enjoyed fishing, clamming, and spending time with family. He was always ready to help anyone in need. He'll be missed for his humor and generosity.
In addition to his wife Lorraine of Truro, his sons Stephen B. Kasanovich of Plympton, Daniel E. Kasanovich of Northbridge, and daughters Trici McDowell of Dennis and Arnie Previe of Truro survive him. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
He will be buried at the Massachusetts National Veterans' Cemetery in Bourne in a private ceremony. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
