Marion Denton
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, February 22, 2015, Mr. Marion Scott Denton, 84, husband to Barbara M. Denton.
Mr. Denton was born in Lancaster, SC and has been a resident of Augusta, Ga for over 70 years. He served in the United States Army and was a retired member of electrical union with local 1579 IBEW. He was a member of Acacia Masonic Lodge No. 314 of N. Augusta and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Masonic Order and F &AM.
Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter: Rosemary D. Arnold and her husband James; son: Robert Scott Denton and his fiance Lisa Andrews: granddaughter: Christina Faircloth; grandson: Caleb Clement; great grandsons: Gabriel and Michael Walker; brother: Karl Lavern Denton and his wife Elaine; and sister: Marie Hennen and her husband Bill. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Nina Dewitt Denton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Bobby Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens.
