Deborah M. (Bernat) Tornyai, age 61, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 23, 2015. She was the beloved wife of John Tornyai to whom she was wed on November 13, 1977.
Born in Holyoke, MA on July 26, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Jean Bernat. She had grown up in Palmer and was a graduate of Palmer High School.
A resident of Norton for the past 35 years, Mrs. Tornyai had been employed as an assembler for over 5 years at the Sinclair Manufacturing Co. in the Chartley section of Norton, and had previously worked at New England Sterling in Attleboro.
Deborah enjoyed spending time in the presence of her loving family. Her interests including jigsaw puzzles and bowling. She will always be remembered for the kindness she bestowed towards animals, especially cats.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted daughters: Katherine A. Tornyai Tuvered and her husband Jim of Fall River and Laura E. Tornyai of Fall River. She was the sister of Linda Tuttle of Alabama and is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services and burial will be private.
